3. Third-party provider

ā€‹

3.1 Google Analytics Addition

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Through the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield") https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

ā€‹

The Google Analytics service is used to analyze the usage behavior of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.

ā€‹

In the event that IP anonymization is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google states that it will not associate your IP address with any other data. For more information on terms of use and data protection, please refer to the Google Analytics Terms and Conditions or the Google Analytics Overview. We would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended by the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking).

ā€‹

3.2  Google reCAPTCHA

On our website, we use Google reCAPTCHA to check and prevent interactions on our website by automated access, e.g. by so-called bots. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

ā€‹

Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield") https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active, Google guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also complied with when processing data in the USA.

ā€‹

Through this service, Google can determine from which website a request is sent as well as from which IP address you use the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, Google may also collect other information that is necessary for offering and guaranteeing this service.

The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website and in the defense against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.

ā€‹

Google provides further information on the general handling of your user data at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

ā€‹

3.3  YouTube

On some of our Internet pages, we also directly integrate videos stored on YouTube. With this integration, content from the YouTube website is displayed in parts of a browser window. However, the YouTube videos are only called up by clicking on them separately. This technique is also called "framing". When you call up a (sub-)page of our website on which YouTube videos are embedded in this form, a connection is established to the YouTube servers and the content is displayed on the website by informing your browser.

ā€‹

YouTube content is only integrated in "extended data protection mode". YouTube itself provides this mode and thus ensures that YouTube does not initially save any cookies on your device. However, when you call up the relevant pages, the IP address and the other data mentioned in section 4 are transmitted and thus, in particular, you are informed which of our Internet pages you have visited. However, this information cannot be assigned to you unless you have logged in to YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) before accessing the page or are permanently logged in.

ā€‹

As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device through the extended privacy mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.

3.4  Facebook & Twitter

We currently use the following social media plug-ins:

  • Facebook

  • Twitter

The plug-ins and associated social media are offers from third parties not affiliated with us.

ā€‹

When you use our website, no personal data is therefore initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can recognize the provider of the plug-in by the design of the respective button and by the text on a mouse-over. Only if you click on one of the buttons, personal data will be transmitted: By activating a button, data is automatically transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the USA). We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes and the storage periods. The plug-in providers collect the data in particular via cookies.

ā€‹

When you activate a button, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned under point 4 of this declaration is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether you have an account with this plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, this data is directly assigned to your account. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares this publicly with your contacts. If you do not want the assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider, you must log out before activating the button.

ā€‹

For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the data protection declarations of these providers provided below. There you will also find information about your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
