2.1 What are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored by the web browser on the user's terminal device to store certain information. The next time our website is called up with the same end device, the information stored in cookies is sent back to our website ("first party cookie") or another website to which the cookie belongs ("third party cookie").
Through the information stored in the cookie and sent back, the respective website recognizes that the user has already called up and visited it with the web browser of his end device. We use this information to optimally display the website to the user according to his or her preferences.
However, only the cookie itself is identified on the end device. Any further storage of personal data only takes place if the user gives us his explicit consent or if this storage is absolutely necessary in order to be able to use the service offered and accessed.
2.2 Types of Cookies
Temporary cookies are used when calling up individual pages. This makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure. These session cookies do not contain any personal data and are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e. after you close your browser.
Through these cookies, certain information from you, such as your browser or location data or your IP address, is processed to an individual extent.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit b.) DSGVO, insofar as these cookies data are processed for contract initiation or contract execution.
If the processing does not serve the purpose of initiating or executing a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO.
Persistent cookies initially remain on your computer in order to recognize your browser and certain settings on your next visit. If cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data and IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie.
Third party cookies
Where applicable, we integrate third-party services (plugins) on our website that pray certain functionalities (e.g. Google Maps, YouTube, etc.). In this context, "third-party cookies" are also stored on your hard drive when you visit our website.
In the further course of the data protection declaration (section 3: Third-party providers), you will be informed separately about the use of such cookies and the scope of the information collected in each case. We have no influence on the cookies and privacy settings of these services or organizations and expressly point out that our third-party services are subject solely to their respective cookie and privacy policies.
Please note that when visiting our website, you have the option to prevent the storage of such third-party cookies (section 2.4 Consent, deactivation or deletion of cookies). You can also set your browser in such a way that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually about their acceptance or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. For more information, read section Consent, deactivation or deletion of cookies.
If personal data is also processed by individual cookies implemented by us, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO to protect our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the site visit.

3. Third-party provider
3.1 Google Analytics Addition
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). The provider of Google Analytics is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Through the certification according to the EU-US Privacy Shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield") https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active Google guarantees that the data protection requirements of the EU are also complied with when processing data in the USA.
The Google Analytics service is used to analyze the usage behavior of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our website.
3.2 Google reCAPTCHA
On our website, we use Google reCAPTCHA to check and prevent interactions on our website by automated access, e.g. by so-called bots. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".
Through certification under the EU-US Privacy Shield ("EU-US Privacy Shield") https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active, Google guarantees that EU data protection requirements are also complied with when processing data in the USA.
Through this service, Google can determine from which website a request is sent as well as from which IP address you use the so-called reCAPTCHA input box. In addition to your IP address, Google may also collect other information that is necessary for offering and guaranteeing this service.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in the security of our website and in the defense against unwanted, automated access in the form of spam or similar.
Google provides further information on the general handling of your user data at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
On some of our Internet pages, we also directly integrate videos stored on YouTube. With this integration, content from the YouTube website is displayed in parts of a browser window. However, the YouTube videos are only called up by clicking on them separately. This technique is also called "framing". When you call up a (sub-)page of our website on which YouTube videos are embedded in this form, a connection is established to the YouTube servers and the content is displayed on the website by informing your browser.
YouTube content is only integrated in "extended data protection mode". YouTube itself provides this mode and thus ensures that YouTube does not initially save any cookies on your device. However, when you call up the relevant pages, the IP address and the other data mentioned in section 4 are transmitted and thus, in particular, you are informed which of our Internet pages you have visited. However, this information cannot be assigned to you unless you have logged in to YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) before accessing the page or are permanently logged in.
As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device through the extended privacy mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented by appropriate browser settings and extensions.

3.4 Facebook & Twitter
We currently use the following social media plug-ins:
The plug-ins and associated social media are offers from third parties not affiliated with us.
When you use our website, no personal data is therefore initially passed on to the providers of the plug-ins. You can recognize the provider of the plug-in by the design of the respective button and by the text on a mouse-over. Only if you click on one of the buttons, personal data will be transmitted: By activating a button, data is automatically transmitted to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (in the case of US providers, in the USA). We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full extent of the data collection, the purposes and the storage periods. The plug-in providers collect the data in particular via cookies.
When you activate a button, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. In addition, the data mentioned under point 4 of this declaration is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether you have an account with this plug-in provider and are logged in there. If you are logged in to the plug-in provider, this data is directly assigned to your account. If you click the activated button and, for example, link to the page, the plug-in provider also saves this information in your user account and shares this publicly with your contacts. If you do not want the assignment to your profile with the plug-in provider, you must log out before activating the button.
For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in provider, please refer to the data protection declarations of these providers provided below. There you will also find information about your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy.
